More about that pesky "rule of law" thing.

I believe John McCain thinks he'll be remembered, (his legacy) in the minds of the American people, as a maverick Senator. I see him as an unprincipled POS, loyal only to John McCain. Many others see him as a self-serving son-of-a-bitch at best, a traitor at worst. Whatever your opinion of him, it is far and away too late for a reversal on his part, for him to come away with a legacy of integrity. All those decades of so called public service,,,wasted.

As one of the authors of the NDAA, this slimeball is living proof that even maggots can become a Senator.
And given those preposterous and dangerous sections of the NDAA that authorize PERMANENT DETAINMENT OF US CITIZENS, has just been affirmed by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, we might as well rename this nation the USSR.

Chris Hedges, one of the original plaintiffs in the suit had this to say about it..
quote:"This is quite distressing. It means there is no recourse now either within the Executive, Legislative or Judicial branches of government to halt the steady assault on our civil liberties and most basic Constitutional rights. It means that the state can use the military, overturning over two centuries of domestic law, to use troops on the streets to seize U.S. citizens, strip them of due process and hold them indefinitely in military detention centers. States that accrue to themselves this kind of power, history has shown, will use it. We will appeal, but the Supreme Court is not required to hear our appeal. It is a black day for those who care about liberty."
No recourse. Well folks, that about does it. Given the NSA Surveillance State, and now this, for all intents and purposes..the USA is KAPOOT..GONE..FOREVER MORE.
Whoever said.."it couldn't happen here" can now eat his words. Black day indeed.
For those who don't understand the implication of this abomination might do well to read another plaintiffs sublime insight, and WHY she became one of the plaintiffs. This can happen to ANYONE now...

If you're an American citizen, I'm certain they would arrest you immediately for forging even ONE document that could serve as an anchor document for establishing a new identity...

But if you're an illegal alien, I'm sure they'll be as lenient as possible. Assuming they even apply the law, which is routinely ignored by those charged with upholding it.

This provision exists in the law so tens of millions of illegal aliens can claim U.S. citizenship. All they need to do is obtain a few pieces of ID using the forgery as the key, and voila! And they won't be arrested or charged if they utter two little words in the event they even get caught: "Obama DREAMer".

This whole thing is meant to dilute the representation of We The People and our place in society. Who can defend the Constitution when those who stand against it (either by consent or direct actions) are multiplied to the point where they become the super-majority?

While we sit on our hands avoiding the next Fort Sumpter, the domestic enemies of liberty and rule of law are eroding what little we have left as surely and as quickly as a colony of termites devouring a wood frame house. Our country already fails to resemble what the Founders established.

Time to take it back!
