Nazi airport thugs mess with Senator Paul.

Sen. Rand Paul ‘detained’ by TSA in Nashville, TSA denies.

Paul is a representative of the people. The people should form their own protective details for such individuals.

I would very much like for Rand Paul to run for President in 2016, if only to see him shut down the TSA when he is elected. :^)

MALTHUS

WV: scent--I detect a whiff of fascism in this illegal detention of a US Senator.

Jay Carney denies that Rand Paul "was detained" - so - he was not detained. Just like GunWalker is not a scandal until the WaPo and NYTimes say so. At least WaPo reported on Patrick Cunningham's historic first refusal to testify for a Chief of Crim Div.

Mike,

Thank the Lord that you and your family are safe.

I’m hearing rumblings around the internet that Lanny Breuer is ready to go public and demand that Eric Holder resign immediately.

Any confirmation?

They wouldn't let Joe Foss board unless he gave up his Medal of Honor. The screener later said she thought it was a martial arts throwing star.

Interesting... any follow-up?

I'm not sure which house and senate committees have oversight over HSD but whoever chairs them needs to summon Janet Napoletano for an old fashioned "come to Jesus". If the bull dyke bitch balks they neen to totally defund the TSA until she shows up to do penance.

Yeah, yeah, I realize Congress would have to collectively grow a pair and the likelihood of that happening is somewhat less than the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem converting to Christianity.

Bravo to Mr Paul! I sent him a letter of support today and you all should do the same! Maybe with the help of men like this Congress will grow a pair!!!

Cocked, locked and ready to rock!
HammerHead out!

As I recall, it's against the law to detain a congressman en route to or from Congress.

It's in the Constitution for the United States of America, but I'm not sure where.

I don't know what the penalty is, but I could see a guy getting his peepee whacked a few times for bothering a Senator on his way to Washington. My guess is someone's gonna be looking for work soon.

"It's in the Constitution for the United States of America, but I'm not sure where."

That would be Article 1, Section 6, first paragraph:

"The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place."

But since TPTB have made a habit of ignoring the rest of The Constitution, and We the People have not called them on it, why would you expect them to treat Article 1, Section 6 any differently?

I can't lay my hands on the quote I want at the moment, so I will have to paraphrase: Find the level of infringement of liberty that a people will accept and you will have found the level of tyranny that will be imposed upon them.

How many windows did you break?

Found this on the site you linked us to: "If there ever was any doubt that the TSA is taking a paper shredder to the Constitution, it should be gone now. From Article I, section 6: "They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same;"

Bravo to Mr. Paul for making a stand that would land any of us lowly peasants in jail.

As he is royalty, and a US Senator, it's not like his "stand" would have cost him anything.

My grandmother and mother were sexually assaulted by the TSA recently, so what happened to Mr. Paul really concerns me not at all. No one says a word about eighty year old women being violated, and we're supposed to give a damn about this guy?

It's like a gang member complaining because he was shot by another gang member in a turf war.

Boo-hoo.

One day, when I am in that situation and put in jail or lose my job, not a damned person will take note.
